The author writes:

Dear Mr Newman

I express my gratitude at the publicity you have given my book and how many concerned young kids are turning up at my readings with questions not about the prevalence of "ludes" and barbiturates on the "scene" but about acceptable forms of bio-diesel, and how to power-down the economy without mass societal breakdown.

I must confess I find these cats uptight, but I'm glad of the crowded auditoriums.

Why don't more of them wear make-up though?
